The University of Vienna is recruiting female candidates in the so-called E-STEEM programme (https://careers.univie.ac.at/en/postdoc/e-steem), a fellowship specifically supporting outstanding female postdoctoral researchers. I am a registered host for the call (https://careers.univie.ac.at/.../faculty-of-life-sciences), and would be offering a 4-year position. From my experience, longer-term postdoc contracts like this are rare and can truly open doors for independent, future funding opportunities.

Key dates: applications until March 2, 2026. Selection process with formal review, internal evaluation, interviews, and final appointment before October 1, 2026. Candidates must hold a PhD by the application deadline; we target researchers who already gained postdoc experience and have the ability to take on a larger-scale project. This is a highly competitive call, a total of 20 positions within all STEM disciplines are available.
